Bibliography

Black-glazed Corinthian type skyphos mended from fragments and restored. It was found in 1960 on the south slope of the Acropolis.

The flaring foot is ring-shaped, the body deep with incurving walls and bell handles attached to the rim. Fine black lustrous glaze covers the vessel except for the reserved bands at the junction of body and foot and around the foot. The base’s underside remains in the colour of the clay and is decorated with black concentric circles with a dot in their centre.
